On July 14 and 15, the show "Ajiaco" is presented at the Piccolo Arsenale Theater in Venice, as part of the seventeenth edition of the International Festival of Contemporary Dance Biennale Danza 2023.

These performances, which mark the official debut of the Cuban company in Italy, have as their main attraction the world premiere of "98 días", a creation by Venezuelan choreographer Javier de Frutos, inspired by the season that poet Federico García Lorca spent in Cuba.

The audience will also enjoy the pieces "Fauno", by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui; "Performance", by American Micaela Taylor and "De punta a cabo", a version of the original choreography by Cuban artist Alexis Fernández (Maca).

The Dance Biennial is held from July 13 to 29 and is directed by British choreographer Wayne McGregor. The program includes numerous events with soloists, companies from around the world and several training projects.

This festival is part of the Venice Art Biennial, considered one of the most important exhibitions for disseminating and promoting contemporary art in the world, which includes all artistic disciplines.

The Venetian Biennial features the participation of more than 90 countries, which present their best artists.
