Ballet Lizt Alfonso Accepts the "Jerusalema Challenge" Social Media Challenge

Dancers from the Lizt Alfonso Ballet echoed the popular social media challenge "Jerusalema Challenge". From the streets of Havana, a group of young people danced to this musical theme that has gone around the entire world.



"The new Jerusalema challenge also reached LADC!!! In addition to it being impossible to resist the contagious music of Master KG, it brings with it a beautiful love story that we couldn't stay out of. May our gratitude and embrace reach the medical personnel of the world, and may the joy that Jerusalema has left revive in each new challenge!", they wrote alongside the video on their social media and YouTube channel.



Millions of people around the world have dedicated themselves to creating various choreographies to share them on the aforementioned social media with #JerusalemaDanceChallenge or #JerusalemaChallenge. Cubans have also joined this initiative from different countries. And thus, various users have also dedicated themselves to uploading their peculiar videos with the choreography of this song, which already has the Latin remix by Colombian Greeicy and Micro TDH.



The original theme, released nine months ago, has been the subject of one of the most popular challenges on Tik Tok, it has more than 420 million plays on that network, with users from countries as diverse as South Africa, Colombia, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Angola, Portugal, France, Italy and Spain doing their dance.



Furthermore, the song has more than 35 million streams on Spotify, occupies the Top 50 Viral Chart on Spotify and the music video has more than 144 million views on YouTube. Jerusalema was originally written in isiZulu by South African DJ Master KG, with the vocal collaboration of Noomcebo Zikode and is considered the most popular song in history made by artists from that country.
