Daymé Arocena Opens Luxury Weekend at Pabellón Cuba

Daymé Arocena, one of the most current and pleasing revelations of Cuban music, will perform in concert at five thirty in the afternoon this Friday, on the main stage of the Havana-based Pabellón Cuba, to open a weekend of pleasant sound surprises.

Arocena's concert, who has brought jazz rhythm to her powerful voice since the beginning of her short but fruitful career, is part of the programming of the Cuban Culture Fair Art on the Rampa, headquartered until September 2nd at the Havana home of the Asociación Hermanos Saíz.

The day of August 10th promises other interesting proposals in the musical sphere, such as the presentation at three in the afternoon in the Salón de Mayo, of the album Pasaba un ángel, by the acclaimed singer-songwriter Liuba María Hevia, who celebrates this 2018 her 35 years of artistic life.
Likewise, the usual trovador space every Friday at La Pérgola, with Silvio Alejandro as host at his gathering Tres Tazas, will offer as usual an pleasant selection of the most outstanding singer-songwriters of the genre in the country.

On Saturday the 11th the appointment is with Haydee Milanés, who will take over the main stage to offer a concert where her personal melodic touch to very Cuban genres such as bolero, canción, filin and the adopted but already very much ours jazz will not be lacking.

Arnaldo y su Talismán will occupy the Pabellón Cuba for a Sunday afternoon filled with rhythm and movement alongside their contagious compositions, among which will surely not be missing La lucecita, Tú me dijiste que sí, Tierra de la soledad, Mulato acelera'o and all those that have given him so much popularity.

Other moments to highlight this weekend at Art on the Rampa will be the space Along the Paths of Art which, under the direction of Marianela Dufflart, brings every Saturday at two in the afternoon at La Pérgola, an interesting exchange with visual artists, journalists, musicians and actors.
