# Randy Arozarena's 10th-Inning Homer Lifts Mariners to 6-5 Win Over Orioles

**Date:** 06/11/2026

Cuban outfielder Randy Arozarena of the Seattle Mariners was once again his team's hero on Tuesday night, June 9, 2026, hitting a two-run homer to lead off the 10th inning and lifting Seattle to a 6-5 victory over the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards.

With automatic runner Julio Rodríguez on first base to start the 10th, Arozarena turned on reliever Rico Garcia's 0-1 slider and drove it over the right-field wall for his seventh home run of the 2026 season. Garcia had allowed only three runs in 27 innings on the season before that at-bat.

Seattle starter Logan Gilbert was dominant after a rocky first inning, retiring the last 14 batters he faced over six innings while striking out five. He allowed just one run — a bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the first. Catcher Mitch Garver also contributed with his third home run of the year in the fourth inning, putting Seattle up 3-1.

Baltimore threatened in the ninth when Coby Mayo homered and Jeremiah Jackson scored to tie the game at 4-4, but Arozarena's blast in the 10th ended the rally. Rookie Nick Davila, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma, closed out the game for his first career save.

With the win, the AL West-leading Mariners improved to 36-32, reaching four games above .500 for the first time this season, and have won 11 of their last 14 games. Baltimore, meanwhile, has now dropped four in a row.
