# Paola Guanche Nominated for Best New Artist at the Latin Grammy

The young woman, daughter of Cuban musician Orlando Guanche and niece of singer Aymée Nuviola, celebrated and thanked the academy for the nomination.

The young woman, daughter of Cuban musician Orlando Guanche and niece of singer Aymée Nuviola, celebrated and thanked the academy for the nomination on her social media.

"I can't even believe I'm posting this… family we are nominated for a Latin Grammy! First thanks God, for my voice and for giving me the opportunity to share my art with you. Thank you to the members and the Latin Grammys academy for believing in me. You don't know how grateful I am for this nomination," wrote the singer of Cuban origin on her Instagram.

Paola's gratitude also extended to her entire work team, including Paulo Simeón, Aymée's husband and her manager, and to her family: "Mom, Dad, i love you, I do it for you. Thank you to you who are reading this for your support and for giving me strength to continue. My people simply from living this moment I feel like a winner. I love you."

Aymée Nuviola was one of those who left a comment on Paola's post: "Congratulations my beautiful Paola my gorgeous niece-stepdaughter. You are a talent without equal and you have to keep moving forward and honor this blessing that God has given you! We love you so much and we're rooting for you."

Paola became known in the music world at just 12 years old when she won The Voice Kids United States in 2013. Years later she appeared as a contestant in the adult edition of The Voice Mexico.

Throughout this time she has continued to develop her music career, captivating the audience with her voice and of course being the pride of her Cuban family.

Several artists from the island are also nominated for these awards, including Pablo Milanés, Chucho Valdés, Paquito D'Rivera, El septeto Santiaguero, Omara Portuondo, Alain Párez, Renesito Avich and Yotuel.

The awards ceremony will be held outside the United States for the first time, in Seville, on November 16.
