# Pánfilo had dengue and the release of new episodes of Vivir del Cuento is delayed even further

**Date:** 04/02/2022

The popular Cuban humorist Luis Silva, better known for his character "Pánfilo" in the comedy show "Vivir del Cuento," said on his social networks that he was recovering from a dengue infection, another of the common diseases on the island.

In a recent post that appeared on March 31st on his Facebook platform, Pánfilo visits the tomb of his dear Adelaida and brings her up to date on the "news" of the last few months related to the recommendations made by Frei Betto about eating habits, some measures from the ordering task and many other things for which he needs to visit her earlier "because there is much news."

"I am recovering from dengue that kept me in bed for a week and has left me somewhat exhausted. But the good news is that next week we should begin filming. So very soon we will have new episodes," the humorist said on his social networks.

Immediately, hundreds of users commented on this news, mostly with wishes for a speedy recovery and at the same time excited about the return to Cuban TV of his most popular program.

"I thought they had already filmed the programs and they were announced for late February, early March. I wish you a speedy recovery and please we are deprived without your program, I believe without being wrong it is the only program that the people are waiting for to have a moment of joy," a follower replied to Silva.

Indeed, Silva himself had warned, more than a month ago, that there were positive Covid cases in the cast and because of that filming had been stopped, but by March at the latest, they would return. Time has passed, we are already in April and there are still no new chapters of the program. For some strange reason, they are not airing old chapters either.

"Speedy recovery, but I insist on this question, why are they not putting 'Vivir del Cuento' on television, the repeated episodes until they film the new ones," another user questioned Silva.

On the subject, Andy Vázquez, "Facundo" in that show, spoke recently. He was a former cast member. For Vázquez, who is based in Miami, they are not airing old episodes so that he and Omar Franco, Ruperto, are not seen in the program.

"I died. What a shame. So many good old programs, and those absurd measures that only affect the people. Like everything," said the actor and comedian Vázquez on his Instagram this week.
