**Date:** 09/23/2023

In recent hours, the nomination of Pánfilo Epifanio to the 24th Latin Grammy Awards ceremony has been news in Cuba, which will take place outside the United States for the first time on November 16th.

Yes, luck seems to be accompanying Cuba's most popular elderly man, who had a premonition that his collaboration on the song "El bodeguero," belonging to the album Danzoneando by Orquesta Failde, would reach the important music awards. At one point in the song, Pánfilo says: "from here to the Grammys." And it came true.

Orquesta Failde is competing in the "Best Traditional Tropical Album" category, and its leader, Ethiel Failde, commented on the great news from Facebook, along with Luis Silva, the actor who plays Pánfilo in the comedy show Vivir del Cuento.

"Life keeps rewarding us, the danzón, Cuban music is nominated, Danzoneando for the Latin Grammy awards," said the musician.

"Congratulations to Failde, congratulations to the whole team... I want to tell you that they just called me, you didn't even give me time to comb my hair... I feel very happy to have contributed a little grain, what I put was just a little grain, nothing more, these people put the whole truck," said the Cuban comedian for his part.

"Family! This is an album of pure danzón with the exception of this famous cha-cha-cha by maestro Richard Egües (in the year of his centennial) sung by a character from Cuban humor that we all love: Pánfilo," they wrote from the orchestra's official account.

"What a beautiful coincidence because this 2023 is the centennial of the birth of the great Richard Egües, creator of El Bodeguero. An immortal cha-cha-cha," they noted in another post.

"Pánfilo nominated for a Latin Grammy with Failde! This is too much now. Thank you Orquesta Failde for daring to invite me to sing together, El Bodeguero," said the official profile of the character from Vivir del Cuento.
