# Marcos Madrigal in concert series in Europe

**Date:** 07/24/2020

Cuban pianist Marcos Madrigal will soon return to European stages following the resumption of some cultural activities due to Covid-19, a pandemic that still affects the world.

His first four presentations will take place this July, alongside the National Dance Company of Spain with the work Love Fear Loss, on the 22nd at the International Music and Dance Festival of Granada for the first presentation, and on the 29th, 30th and 31st at the Summer Festival of the Villa of Madrid.

Likewise, on August 5th and 8th he will perform two concerts with the Hemisphaeria Trio at the Ritratti Music Festival in Monopoli, Italy, where he will premiere worldwide the work Versos Martianos by Cuban composer Yalil Guerra, based on simple verses by José Martí; as well as three arrangements by Cuban composer and pianist Ernesto Oliva, of works by Argentine composer Astor Piazzola.

In February of this year, the artistic director of the National Dance Company of Spain, Joaquín de Luz, invited Marcos Madrigal for the premiere in that country of the ballet Love Fear Loss, by Brazilian choreographer Ricardo Amarante, a work that the previous year Madrigal performed alongside the National Ballet of Cuba.

Similarly, Madrigal is part of the Hemisphaeria Trio, a project made up of three recognized soloists from the current international concert scene, who presented their first album titled Songs of Nature and Farewell last June with excellent support from national and international specialized critics.

With the resumption of cultural activities in Europe due to Covid-19, Cuban pianist Marcos Madrigal returns to his international work, prepares the presentation of a monographic album dedicated to Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, as well as the "Habana Clásica" festival in its Itinerant version, which had date changes due to the presence of coronavirus Sars-Cov-2.

As additional information, today July 24th at 8 p.m., on Victoria's Talks you will be able to meet and interact with this talented and virtuoso Cuban/Italian pianist - Marcos Madrigal broadcast via Facebook Live.
