# Liuba María Hevia Presents «Almas comunes», Her 26th Album, at Madrid's Ateneo

Cuban singer-songwriter Liuba María Hevia is presenting «Almas comunes», her 26th studio album, with a concert on September 19, 2026, at Madrid's Ateneo. The record gathers eleven songs devoted to memory, love, homeland, migration and hope, according to 20minutos and the specialized site Cancioneros.com.


The album features collaborations with Ana Belén on «Entre Madrid y La Habana», and with bagpiper Hevia and Asturian singer Marisa Valle Roso on «Asturias, bendito sea el amor». The soundscape mixes Cuban and Caribbean textures with trova, blues, country, Asturian music and contemporary chamber elements, using guitar, tres, lute, violin, cello and percussion.


The lead single, «Amada tierra mía», is scheduled for September 18 on digital platforms, one day before the Madrid concert. On stage at the Ateneo, Hevia will be backed by Cuban musicians Christopher Simpso (violin), Yibrán Riverola (tres and guitar), Eilyn Marquetti (percussion) and José Ernesto Hermida (bass).


Hevia, a Nueva Trova figure with more than four decades of work and multiple Cubadisco Awards, has collaborated over her career with Silvio Rodríguez, Pablo Milanés, Chucho Valdés, Omara Portuondo and Ana Belén, among others. «Almas comunes» once again places her music in the dialogue between Cuba and Spain.
