# Lilo Vilaplana Premieres Eva y Adán en Miami at the Miami Film Festival 2026

Eva y Adán en Miami will have its world premiere tonight, April 11, 2026, at the 43rd Miami Film Festival, with a screening at the Olympia Theatre at 8:00 PM. The romantic comedy is part of the festival's April 9 to 19 run and will later stream on ViX.


The film stars Elizabeth Gutiérrez and Julián Gil in the lead roles, with a cast that also includes Los Pichy Boys, Alejandro González and Maikel Rodríguez, along with Adrián Mas, Vivian Ruiz, Anthony Lo Russo, Gilberto Reyes, and Alejandro Gil. Written by César Sierra and Nathalia Martinez, the story follows Eva, an Uber driver, and Adán after they end up stranded together.


Vilaplana was born in Nuevitas, Camagüey, in 1965 and started in Cuba as an assistant director on children's TV series in 1988. He later built an international career that includes El Capo, the Colombian series that earned him the India Catalina Prize and TVyNovelas Best Director in 2010.
