Cuban actress María Isabel Díaz Lago is part of the cast of the series Patria, the first production by HBO Europe, 'Patria' premiered in the Official Section of the San Sebastián Film Festival.

The series, consisting of eight one-hour episodes and produced by Alea Media, was to premiere worldwide last March during the official section of the Series Mania Festival, which was to take place in Lille (France) but was canceled due to coronavirus. Its first release date on the platform was set for May 17, 2020, but the pandemic also caused the delay.

HBO is generating enormous anticipation with each of the series' previews, from the trailers to the new images and the controversial poster that it revealed just a few weeks ago.

María Isabel Díaz plays Celeste, a secondary character of Latin origin, caregiver of Arantxa, the disabled daughter of Miren (mother of one of the ETA members).
