Yannick and Annick Woungly-Massaga are not only twin sisters, they are also Cuban designers. Since they settled in Switzerland just over a decade ago, they have worked on various projects in sectors representative of the European country's economy.

Currently, the sisters are working on redesigning the image of the Association of Veterans of the Swiss Guard, as well as the Vatican Army. Their first experience in this project will be at the upcoming general assembly of said organization.

Likewise, they organize the festival "A lo cubano," the first event organized entirely by Cubans, which proposes an encounter between natives of the Greater Antilles and other nationalities coexisting in Switzerland.

According to what they revealed in an interview, they consider it fundamental to remake their identity and rebuild themselves. Therefore, their work over these years has been devoted to this purpose.

As creators of the project Cuban Designers Around the World, since 2013 they have promoted everything related to the sector, this being an important space for professional exchange.

In addition, they have collaborated with the watch brand Cuervo y Sobrinos, with the design of a watch line called Sol y Estrellas. The same, according to their statements, stemmed from the attractive elements of Cuban culture.

"That intense light of Cuba, the possibility of seeing the stars and the horizon, and the hustle and bustle of Havana, were the communication axes that guided the creation of these watches," Annick told the aforementioned digital media.
