In Major League Baseball, the center fielder for the Chicago White Sox, Cuban Luis Robert Moirán, suffered an injury last Sunday night that could cost him more than half the season.

The Avileño, running toward first base, suffered a grade 3 strain in his right hip flexor. In other words, according to the team doctor, the injury is a total and complete tear, the worst news the club could have received.

The Cuban will be out of action for a minimum of 12 weeks and could miss up to 16 weeks, with very painful rehabilitation.

At 23 years old, center fielder Luis Robert Moirán, is one of the great prospects for the Chicago White Sox team in the South, but the truth is he didn't have a good start to the season.

Before his injury, his batting average was .359, with 9 doubles, one home run, 8 runs batted in, 11 other runs scored, and 28 strikeouts in 25 games.
