Giraldo Carales was selected for the 10th edition of the famous reality show MasterChef España.

In the first broadcast of the show, the Cuban presented a dish called Chamari Legatza. "It's the combination of the names of two people who have helped me cook: Charot and Jose Mari, and Legatza is hake," said Giraldo.

To enter the program, Samantha said no, because he had presented a dish that was "tasty, but too simple". However, Jordi and Pepe disagreed and gave him a yes.

Pepe told him that nobody makes hake in rich green sauce and his was very good. With Jordi and Pepe in his favor, the Cuban is one of the contestants on Masterchef España 10.

During the broadcast of the popular show, an emotional moment occurred when his daughter, Ainhoa, appeared on stage to hand him the official contestant apron to Carales, when he was in danger of elimination, along with three other contestants.
The Cuban told the judges that they love him in Cuba. To which Pepe responded: "What a great country God Cuba is, how beautiful". He also told him that "he always carries Cuba in his heart and I cannot let down that second homeland".

Giraldo Carales lives in Irún, in the Basque Country and after a year in Spain he managed to bring his daughter and the little girl's mother.

Giraldo is a professional water polo player and was part of Cuba's national team in this sport from the age of 15.

After being a prominent water polo player on Cuban national teams, Giraldo Carales succeeded in Spain and reinvented himself outside the pools, as a rising model. After swimming for 15 years on the Caribbean team, he decided to test himself in international circuits and, with natural talent, became a key player for Waterpolo Navarra, of the Iberian nation.

He currently works as a model. Carales is 1.89 meters tall and is part of the Mad Models Management portfolio.

Giraldo would like to open a restaurant in Irún for his family, who are still in Cuba, but he thinks he can bring them to Spain.
