# CNN en Español announces the premiere of "LibreXpresión", new digital space directed by Wendy Guerra

CNN en Español announced the launch of the new digital space LibreXpresión, presented by the renowned Cuban writer and poet Wendy Guerra, who joined the network in September as a contributor. Guerra will also be a creator of alternative content for digital and linear platforms. With a very personal approach, Guerra will interview major personalities from the world of art and culture, whose social and political realities are intrinsic to their works.

LibreXpresión is a great digital plaza for lovers of information, controversy, and knowledge. In LibreXpresión you can breathe art, entertainment, music, and politics. It is the space where the Cuban-French writer lets the thoughts and imagination of renowned personalities fly.

The new space premiered on Wednesday, November 3rd with an interview with Nicaraguan writer and intellectual Sergio Ramírez. The writer, who was vice president of Nicaragua between 1985 and 1990 during Daniel Ortega's first government, is in exile after Ortega himself tried to arrest him and banned his most recent book. In this conversation, Guerra asks him about his support and subsequent rejection of the Sandinista government, his commitment to literature and the recognition it has earned him, his current situation with the Nicaraguan government, among others.

Guerra will also be the author of the column The Bold Question, in which she will pose questions that invite reflection, debate, and interaction with the audience on different current topics. The column will be published twice a month on CNNEspanol.com.

Wendy Guerra is one of the most important literary authors in Latin America. Her articles have appeared in magazines and newspapers around the world, including El País, The New York Times, The Miami Herald, El Mundo, La Vanguardia, among other media outlets. Her first poetry collection, Platea a Oscuras, won her the University of Havana Prize when she was only sixteen years old. She has published 7 novels and 3 poetry collections, some of which have been translated into 23 languages.
