Cuban singer Erick Iglesias Rodríguez, known artistically as "Cimafunk", will be part of the guest list for the "Isle of light" festival, which will take place next Saturday, March 14, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

At the same time, the "Cuban James Brown" will share the stage with important figures from the international music industry such as: American singer Gwen Stefani, Spanish rapper C. Tangana, American band The Rapture and Mexican electro pop group Clubz.

The news was announced by the performer of "Me voy" himself, through his social networks. Erick, originally from the province of Pinar del Río, invited all his followers to join the show at the Faro De Punta Torrecilla.

Since his breakthrough on the island's music scene in 2016, the artist has had the opportunity to sing alongside other greats of rhythm. Among them, Spanish singer-songwriter Alejandro Sanz, with whom he shared the stage at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York. Cimafunk was also the opening act at two of the concerts that the Madrid native held in the city of Miami, Florida.

In July 2018, during the framework of the XIV Edition of the International Film Festival of Gibara, he performed several songs alongside Argentine composer and performer Fito Páez. The latter introduced the Cuban as "Cimafunk: the future" and described him as "God of ebony".
