# Cimafunk sings with Paulina Rubio and Alejandra Guzmán

**Date:** 04/02/2022

Young Cuban singer Cimafunk shared the stage with Mexican stars Alejandra Guzmán and Paulina Rubio during the program "La Noche," on Univision, a spectacular opportunity for the talented musician to shine in top-level shows.

The artist shared last Wednesday on his social networks the moment in which he sang with Guzmán and Rubio and thanked the opportunity.

His songs enlivened some of the breaks in the aforementioned show, in which the Mexican stars were interviewed by another Latin television celebrity: Daniel René.

Cimafunk first accompanied Guzmán in her performances and then, near the end of the program, shared the stage with her and with Paulina Rubio.

"La Chica Dorada," Paulina Rubio, and "La Reina de Corazones," Alejandra Guzmán, put aside their rivalry to have a frank conversation about their music, their award-winning careers and much more. The show also featured special participation from popular actresses Susana Dosamantes and Silvia Pinal, the mothers of both.

Guzmán herself announced it on her social networks, with emphasis on the presence of the Cuban: "This Sunday night, March 27, at 10:00 p.m. on Univision, together with Paulina Rubio, Cimafunk and Daniel René. Don't miss some very, very, very special moments." In the video released, the three artists can be seen singing on stage.

That night, both divas announced a joint musical tour through more than 20 cities titled "Perrísimas."

Thank you "for the flavor and the fun," he expressed to both in his post, received with approval by his followers who raved in praise, as did other singers like Leoni Torres and Jota Barrioz who shared Cimafunk's joy.

The Cuban continues to demonstrate his talent to audiences from all over, having now captivated the American public following his successful performances in Europe.

This month has been full of excellent news for Cimafunk, as in addition to collaborations with world-class stars, his latest album, titled "El Alimento" received a nomination for Best Latin Record 2022 at the American Association of Independent Music awards.

In "El Alimento," a 13-song album, major personalities participate such as George Clinton, considered the godfather of funk, maestro Chucho Valdés and renowned American music producer CeeLo Green.

Erick –the artist's real name– mixes Cuban, Latin and Afro-American rhythms to create a style that not only distances him from reggaeton which monopolizes many spaces on the island, but has quickly gained followers throughout the world.

The young Pinar del Río native, 32 years old, took his first steps in music in his native province and later in Havana he participated as a chorus singer in several groups, until in 2014 he joined the group Interactivo, by Robertico Carcassés. Since then his career has done nothing but reap successes.

"To me and my tribe. To heat up the show. Thank you @laguzmanmx and @paulinarubio for the flavor and the fun," wrote the performer of "Me voy" on his social networks along with the poster announcing the show on the Hispanic channel in the United States. Last Sunday, the musicians set the stage on fire.
