# Celia Cruz Featured on Beyoncé's New Album with Maluma for "B'Day" 20th Anniversary

Cuban singer Celia Cruz is resonating anew in contemporary pop music thanks to the 20th anniversary edition of Beyoncé's "B'Day," released September 4, 2026, to mark two decades since the original album. The 31-track reissue includes "Cuerpo (Tumbao)," a reworking of "Get Me Bodied" that incorporates a sample from a classic recording by the Queen of Salsa alongside new verses from Colombian singer Maluma.


The bilingual track was produced by Beyoncé herself along with Edgar Barrera and Casta, with co-production by Ali Alvarez, blending Maluma's Latin urban sound with Cruz's salsa essence. The anniversary edition also includes "Irreemplazable (Como La Flor)," featuring Selena Quintanilla's vocals with approval from her estate, and "Can I Watch You" with Pharrell Williams.


Maluma celebrated the collaboration on social media, expressing his excitement at appearing alongside Beyoncé and thanking the producers and songwriters involved in the track. The inclusion of Cruz's voice, more than two decades after her 2003 death, in a project of this scale reaffirms the staying power of her legacy and introduces it to a new generation of global listeners.


Cruz, born in Havana in 1925 and known as "The Queen of Salsa" and "La Guarachera de Cuba," became the first Cuban artist inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame earlier in 2026. Her presence on new material from one of the world's most influential pop artists affirms her place as one of Latin music's most enduring voices.
