# Carlos Ángel Valdés continues triumphing on La Voz España

**Date:** 11/15/2021

Cuban Carlos Ángel Valdés managed to advance on Friday night to the battle rounds stage on La Voz España, following a spectacular performance of the song 'Believer' by Imagine Dragons.

The young man who performed alongside contestants Ángel Valera, Dan Rain, and Tosh, as part of Luis Fonsi's team had already demonstrated his talent in the competition's auditions by performing 'Jealous'.

In this presentation, the four offered a spectacular show that gave chills to more than one of the judges: "It has been a spectacular performance all together, but that is only created when there is something worthwhile on the stage. If these things did not exist, the only thing that would give us chills would be the cold," said Alejandro Sanz when the battle ended.

Regarding this, La Voz España presenter Eva González explained that there were still six spaces remaining for the battle rounds stage, so Fonsi and David Bisbal had to choose among them the four.

"There is certain space, but there are still two more groups to come. So, in that case, on that stage there is a voice that will not advance to the next stage and that is the voice (...) of Eva, because all four will stay," said Fonsi euphorically when announcing that all would advance to the next round.

Five Cubans presented themselves to the blind auditions program of La Voz España, of which only three were accepted. On Friday night's battles, in addition to Carlos Ángel, Cuban Yamilé Wilson also secured her place, having to compete with three other contestants with the song 'Bang Bang' by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.

The other Cuban who managed to pass the blind auditions was Pablo Hernández, the former dancer of Leoni Torres, who unfortunately was not able to advance to the next round of the competition.
