# Raquel Bigorra Pérez

Known artistically as Raquel Bigorra, she is a Cuban television presenter, actress, and singer.

She is currently the host of the program Venga la Alegría on Tv Azteca (México).

She began her career as a model in her native country at the age of 14. In 1993, in Cuba, España, she was part of the choir of Cuban singer Alfredo Rodríguez, and worked as a presenter of the program Pasacalle on the UHF channel TeleMadrid.

She is a graduate of the Centro de educación Artística (CEA) of Televisa and studied a degree in Spanish and Literature in La Habana, Cuba. She was the host of the program Ecos de la Moda on the international network ECO.

In 1996, Raquel joined the team of hosts of Ritmoson, a video, interview, and Latin music channel broadcast by Cablevisión.

For three months, Raquel presented capsules of the Lotería Nacional on Televisa's Channel 2 in Mexican television, as well as various special programs about music on the same channel, such as the Acapulco festivals.

Later, on Televisa's channel 9, she hosted the game show Todo se Vale. She partnered with Dominican Vielka Valenzuela, with whom she also hosted a season of game shows, and they became popularly known as "Las Primas".

In 2003, she hosted the program Nuestra Casa, alongside Jorge Muñiz, Carmen Muñoz, and Claudia Lizaldi.

At the end of 2004, she decided to pursue her passion for music and released the album Y no me importa, where she gave 10 songs that blend reggaeton with pop and cumbia, among other Latin rhythms. In 2005, she entered the Big Brother house in its fourth VIP edition.

In early 2006, she participated in the second stage of Cantando por un Sueño, with Julio Preciado as her teacher, and she took first place. Later that same year, she participated as co-host of the show Bailando por la Boda de mis Sueños.

From 2007 to 2010, she hosted the variety program TV de Noche on Televisa's Channel 4, alongside Jorge "Coque" Muñiz and Andrea García.

In October 2010, she joined Tv Azteca to be part of the program Justo a Tiempo, alongside Mauricio Barcelata, and later hosted another couple of programs that were subsequently taken off the air.

On December 3, 2011, she married Alejandro Gavira in a religious ceremony held at the Catedral Metropolitana de la Ciudad de México.

On July 22, 2014, after many attempts, the host of Venga la Alegría announced her first pregnancy.
