In 2001, he represented frustrated consumers in a class action lawsuit against Firestone for poorly designed and manufactured tires that resulted in 63 deaths and thousands of serious explosions. Four years later, he represented the families of accident victims in a wrongful death lawsuit against Chalk's International Ocean Airway. The Miami Herald and other media reported that the case was settled for 51 million dollars. The survivors of those who died in the accident were collected within 364 days of the accident date, which is unprecedented.
