# Francisca López Civeira

Prestigious and renowned historian from the University of Havana; with a recognized trajectory in teaching and an extensive body of published work in more than ten books and dozens of essays and articles in specialized national and foreign publications.

Among her various recognitions stand out the National History Prize (2008) and the Félix Varela Prize, Distinction for National Culture, the Alejo Carpentier Medal and the Frank País Order of second and first degrees. In 2022 she was awarded the National Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities.
