Elier Miranda Mesa is a Cuban chess grandmaster, born January 29, 1993, in Santa Clara, Villa Clara province. He earned the Grandmaster title in 2019 and has held a FIDE rating above 2500 in recent years.

His career highlights include winning the 2023 Cuban Chess Championship — defeating Omar Almeida Quintana in the decisive round — the 2024 Mi Veracruz National Championship in Mexico, and an undefeated run at the 2024 Orjan Lindroth Chess Memorial. He represented Cuba on the national team at the 45th Chess Olympiad in 2024.

In 2026 he added further international medals, including bronze at the V Panama Chess Open.
