For decades he was part of one of the most popular dance couples on Cuban television, he died from cancer in the Mexican capital, where he resided.

Sánchez and his wife, Gladys González, also performed in Spain, Italy, Greece, Germany, Russia, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, and Mexico.

The couple maintained for several years a dance class program on Cuban television called Aprendiendo a Bailar, an experience that he repeated on the Señal channel in Colombia.

In recent times, Sánchez worked as a dance, Cuban folklore, and ballroom dance professor at the Monterrey Technological Institute.

The artist held a degree in Art History from the University of Havana, received multidisciplinary training in dance, and graduated as a television director on the island.

He belonged in Mexico to the Association of Cuban Residents José Martí.

At the time of his death he was serving as Dance Coordinator and Professor of Dance Appreciation, Cuban Folklore, and Ballroom Dance at Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Mexico City and Campus Santa Fe.

Degree in Art History from the University of Havana Cuba. Multidisciplinary training in Dance. Television Director from the School of Training of Directors of Cuban Television. Among other studies, Diploma: "Viceroyalty of New Spain" and "Development and Innovation of Teaching Practice," Mexico D.F.

As a teacher in other countries, he taught classes and gave lectures at: National University of Colombia, University of the Valley, Cali, Colombia, also serving at this university as Professor, Choreographer, and Director of the dance group "Danza Espectáculo Univalle." – Central University of Venezuela, Fine Arts Museum of Caracas, Ollín Yolistli Cultural Center in Mexico D.F.

For 10 years he Writes, Directs, and Hosts as Professor and Choreographer his dance class program on television "Aprendiendo a Bailar" for Cuban Television, an experience that he repeated on Colombian television Señal Colombia.
He has published multiple dance articles for newspapers and magazines and given lectures for different international television channels, for example: for HBO "Y sin embargo se mueve."

Spain, Italy, Greece, Germany, Russia, Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Mexico.

Among his latest works as a choreographer, examples would include: Miss World Colombia, Miss Venezuela, the telenovela "Salomé" by Televisa, "Daniela" by Argos Television and the International Agustín Lara Festival 2002 and 2003, "Dancing for My Dream Wedding" by Televisa 2006.
