Alexander Delgado is a Cuban singer, songwriter and producer, founder and lead vocalist of the reggaeton and urban music duo Gente de Zona. He was born on August 21, 1979, in the Alamar neighborhood of Havana.

Before turning to music full time, he held a variety of jobs, including a stint in a cigar factory, and played basketball professionally while training as an accountant at the Camilo Cienfuegos Military School. At 20 he immersed himself in Cuba's hip-hop movement and became active in the Alamar Rap Festival.

In 2000 he founded Gente de Zona together with fellow rappers from his neighborhood. The group, which has gone through several lineup changes over the decades, is now made up of Delgado and Randy Malcolm. Among its biggest hits is "Bailando," with Enrique Iglesias and Descemer Bueno, which topped Billboard's Latin Songs chart in 2014. The duo has also been honored with Latin Grammy Awards throughout its career.

In 2026, Gente de Zona is marking 25 years together with a tour of Spain and the release of the single "Se le pasa," the first preview of a new album.
