**Date:** 09/13/2022

Two-time Olympic champion Arlen López celebrated for the second time in professional boxing and raised to 13 the consecutive successes of Domadores de Cuba in commitments of that type.

Arlen did his job in the Mexican city of Tijuana, as the executioner of local Francisco Ríos, whom he dispatched by technical knockout in the first of the eight rounds agreed upon for that fight, in the 175-pound division.

The outcome added to the one enjoyed by the Caribbean fighter in May, when he surpassed in identical fashion fellow Mexican Fernando Galván, and it is the tenth stoppage coined by the Island franchise.

Ríos had on his side the experience of 26 fights of this type (13 victories, 10 defeats and 3 draws), but Arlen imposed the pace to the same extent that he showed superiority and resolved after 2:58 minutes from the opening bell.

Relying on the well-known solidity of his striking, he combined with effectiveness until causing his opponent to drop to his knees on the canvas and the referee decreed the end of the action after counting him for protection.

The next outing of members of that Cuban squad will be the third for also two-time Olympic champion Roniel Iglesias (147 pounds), called to fight on September 30 in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.
