# NLDS hero Andy Pagés and the Dodgers open the NLCS in Milwaukee

**Date:** 10/11/2026

Cuban center fielder Andy Pagés heads into the National League Championship Series as one of the key figures for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Game 1 against the Milwaukee Brewers is scheduled for Sunday, October 11, at 8 p.m. ET at American Family Field.

Pagés earned that spot on Wednesday, October 7, at Atlanta's Truist Park. With Game 4 of the Division Series tied 1-1 in the seventh inning and two outs, he worked a full count and lined a two-run single off Venezuelan reliever Robert Suárez. The Dodgers won 4-1, closed out the Braves three games to one and reached their third straight NLCS.

The hit meant a lot for the Cuban outfielder, who opened the series 0-for-7 and carried a rough October track record: during the 2025 postseason he ended up losing his spot in the lineup in the World Series. He also returned only a few weeks ago from a fractured left hand that kept him out for much of the final month of the regular season. Manager Dave Roberts had kept faith in him.

The Dodgers, champions of the last two World Series, are chasing a third straight title. In the American League, Cubans Yandy Díaz and Víctor Mesa Jr. are also still alive with the Tampa Bay Rays, who swept the Yankees in the Division Series.
