# Ana Carla Maza Releases New Album ALAMAR and Embarks on European Spring Tour

**Date:** 04/07/2026

Cuban cellist, singer and composer Ana Carla Maza released her new album ALAMAR on March 27, 2026 — a deeply personal work in which voice and cello weave a musical journey shaped by roots, departure, healing, and joy.

Available on all major streaming platforms, the album is sung in Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English, reflecting the artist's international path. ALAMAR — named after a district of Havana — transforms memory, love, and cultural transmission into a contemporary and universal musical language. More than a collection of songs, it is conceived as a statement of artistic freedom and emotional honesty.

Alongside the album release, Ana Carla Maza launched the ALAMAR Spring Tour 2026, taking her to stages across France, Italy, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Belgium from January through June 2026. Highlights include performances at the Blue Note in Milan and La Belle Angele in Edinburgh. It marks her first return to the UK since her previous award-winning album Caribe.

Born in Havana into a musical family — her father is acclaimed Chilean pianist Carlos Maza and her mother is Cuban guitarist Mirza Sierra — Ana Carla Maza began studying cello at age eight. Trained at conservatories in Cuba, Spain, and France, where she settled in 2012, she has performed at hundreds of venues across Europe and the Americas, establishing herself as one of Cuba's most prominent voices on the contemporary international music scene.
