# Alex Cuba invited to perform at the 2020 Latin Grammy Awards gala

**Date:** 11/01/2020

Cuban singer Alex Cuba will be one of the artists performing at the gala of the 21st Annual Latin Grammy Awards 2020. The event will be broadcast on November 19, at 8:00 p.m. (Miami time), on Univision.

Alex Cuba, a Cuban resident in Canada, has two nominations this year: Best Singer-Songwriter Album for the album Sublime, which was also included in the technical category Best Recording Engineering for an Album.

The ceremony this year will not have its traditional venue in Las Vegas, as due to restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic the ceremony will be held virtually.

However, the awards ceremony will be held in-person in Miami and will be broadcast that same day through Univision. This edition of the Latin Grammys has the theme "Music humanizes us," and will feature performances by Anuel AA, Calibre 50, Víctor Manuelle, Montaner, Raquel Sofía, Sebastián Yatra, Julio Reyes Copello, Guaynaa and Debi Nova, according to AP.

These artists join a previously announced list that includes Bad Bunny, Pedro Capó, Alejandro Fernández, Karol G, Kany García, Los Tigres del Norte, Marc Anthony, Christian Nodal, Fito Páez and Nathy Peluso.

Alex Cuba is the only artist of Cuban origin among the performances. The nominations for the Latin Grammys in its 21st edition include several Cuban artists, both from the Island and from abroad, ranging from the duo Gente de Zona to the octogenarian performer Omara Portuondo.
